The Edge of No Return

Walking to edge of no return, they laugh, a scowl; a howl,
Minds blank or filled with too much, they begin
The plan, which seems more impulsive
But a plan nonetheless.

They lose themselves today
Or perhaps the two were lost a time ago,
When ideas were formed and decisions made;
Innocence betrayed.

Superior and justified; they want fame, notoriety and mayhem,
Their anger is the anger of thousands,
A lesson to be taught by them; the youth -
They will make the world pay and we will be intrigued
With the weapons of man and mind,
They will kill.

They walk and stand on the edge, a hesitant moment doesn’t last;

They begin.
